Oh I’m sorry…were you trying to farm?

When I first joined the game, it wasn’t much my choice. A friend went crazy and bought me and my room-mate the game because he didn’t want to play by himself. So, needless to say I didn’t realize that he went for a PVP server, or what the hell that was for that matter. I learned…quickly at about level 22. And being that I decided to roll into the game as Horde, I didn’t realize how much I was going to be sought out to be killed. Lol. Thank you Hillsbrad.

Anyway, so now I’m finally a 70. And I had hoped that all of the killings would be over except on the bgs…and I was wrong. Again. It is impossible to get your dailies done on the Isle without killing or being killed at least once or fifty times. I’m not complaining, it’s easy honor and I’m aware it is a PVP server…but um it’s so laggy there anyway do we really need to add to the crap and be disconnected.

I have also found that Nagrand is the absolutely the WORST place to try to farm herbs, there will be battles over felweed with lowbies at that. So here’s a bit of advice: If you decide to roll on a PVP server, and you kill (in my case Alliance…yours maybe Horde) a lowbie that is in a guild…be prepared to have the wrath brought down on you. Especially if you are back on the other continents, more than likely that toon is an alt.

Case and point:
I was on my alt BE mage Thelaria, in dreaded Hillsbrad. And for some reason the Alliance on my realm had something up their butts and continually killed every single lowbie in sight. Finally after a hour of TRYING to get one quest done I had enough and rounded up my guild, jumped on my main and we blew their town out of the water. There wasn’t a toon, guard, bread vendor or even a chicken alive when we were done.

They learned their lesson, and it was about a week before anyone messed with anyone with our guild name. :-) I think we’re rather well known now. Lol.

So which do you like more: PVP or Normal realm?

Uh uh uh! You’ve forgotten my server type of preference: roleplaying servers! We strange, enigmatic, and thoroughly puzzling creatures can often be found in taverns sharing highly exaggerate tales of our battling/dueling/sexual prowess, fighting our enemies on the battlefield, and exploring the deepest, darkest dungeons of the old world and new for treasure, adventure, and glory.

Though, my preference is for PvP servers. I enjoy world PvP, I like being challenged, and the idea of being ganked in contested territory bleeds just enough adrenaline into my system that I feel actively involved in the game. I just wish that most PvP servers I’ve played on weren’t full of idiots, asshats, leetdewds, and near incomprehensible bastardization of the English language.

You’re right! I did forget that type of server! I apologize! :-)

Lol, yeah I’ve noticed that myself about the PvP servers as opposed to others. The barrens chat is the WORST for that crap! “Chuck Norris could PWN teh mofo U 4get that” AHHH!! Stfu!

Hehe ooooh man, I can’t count the number of times I’ve been just annihilated by horde on my ally priest. It doesn’t seem to happen as much on my horde shammy – I think the server Harpy is on is pretty horde heavy, I rarely see ally period.

I learned very quickly that if you kill that hordie that’s slightly lower level than you a couple of times, you bring the wrath of the WHOLE GUILD down on your head. It got to the point that my friends and I would start running as far and as fast as we could immediately after killing a hordie, and if we stuck around for any length of time we would nervously mutter, “we better get out of here, this guy’s got friends coming…”

But to wind up this long comment, personally I prefer PvP. ^_^ I initially started out on PvE servers, but after the first time I rolled a toon on PvP I was hooked. Even with all the horde camping me. ^_^ I would like to try an RP server at some point though.

Nothing brings a guild together like repetitive ganking of a member’s lowbie alt. I remember that day fondly, avenging every lowbie death in the Hills that day…South Shore was no more for quite a while. I enjoyed being one of the toons who kept killing the flight master into their lovely town. What was even funnier was when the our guildmaster recognized the main “ganker” as one of many who ganked her toons as they ascended through their lvls. Sad the guy has nothing better to do than hang out in Hillsbrad for the last year or so (prob since they started the “new” lvl 70 with BC) and gank lowbies. *SIGH* Good times. Good times.
